Technologies, new machines, R&D products. How INNOPROM.Belarus expo will surprise visitors

The surprises the 2nd international industrial expo INNOPROM. Belarus will have in store were described by Belarusian Deputy Industry Minister Leonid Ryzhkovsky at a press conference, BelTA has learned.

The expo will take place in Minsk from 30 September through 2 October. “We note the interest of international partners in participating in the expo. We position our products not only for the CIS countries, not only for the Russian Federation, but also for global markets, demonstrating them to the whole world,” Leonid Ryzhkovsky noted.

All major holdings and enterprises of the Industry Ministry will take part in the expo. “Half of the declared area will be occupied by Industry Ministry enterprises. All major holdings are intent on demonstrating new products, R&D advances that will be useful and may interest our colleagues both from the CIS, EAEU countries and non-CIS countries,” the deputy industry minister shared.

A significant portion of the machines, equipment, and vehicles will be presented in the outdoor area due to its large dimensions. “Traditionally these are cargo and passenger vehicles, agricultural machines where we demonstrate the implementation of not just of a tractor as a machine per se, but specifically a technology with tillage, sowing and other implements. We offer partners ready-made technologies for soil cultivation and crop storage,” the deputy industry minister explained.

Among the key exhibits will be new products from Minsk Automobile Plant, refreshed models of BelGee cars. As far as haul trucks are concerned, both dummy models and information about new R&D products will be presented. The R&D products take into account the need to develop alternative types of fuel and control systems in difficult quarry conditions. A demonstration of the powerful 540-horsepower MTZ 5425 tractor will take place. The largest Belarusian haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes will traditionally serve as the hallmark of the exposition.

Leonid Ryzhkovsky also drew attention to cooperation with the Russian side. “There are joint ventures for the production of harvesters, loaders, passenger vehicles, elevator equipment. The procedure for assigning the status of Union State Goods to products has started working. A registry is already being formed by the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Our passenger products and a haul truck with the share of Belarusian and Russian components making up at least 20% have already been entered into it,” he said. “More than 10,000 enterprises in Russia are connected with Belarusian enterprises by shipments of various products.”

Matters of import substitution and technological independence remain priority ones. “Together with partners, we are working on maximum localization of production in the Union State of Belarus and Russia,” Leonid Ryzhkovsky summarized.

Apart from that, special attention will be paid at the expo to the products of Minsk Watch Plant, which souvenir line generated high interest among foreign delegations last year.

The expo will become a platform for holding many bilateral meetings and negotiations of working groups with delegations from Russian regions and non-CIS countries. The event acts as kind of a magnet for attracting foreign business and discussing matters of mutually beneficial cooperation.

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English. We hear nothing about Belarus here in the US so I am so glad to learn about your country. Keep on broadcasting in English. I also joined the Hoererklub on Facebook as I can understand German. If you have information or a station pennant, I will very much appreciate it.
