Belarusian farmers have threshed 2 million tonnes of grain, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
According to operational data as of 28 July, 2,051,000 tonnes of grain have been threshed from the country’s fields. Some 26% of the area under grain and legume crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, and millet) has been harvested. The average yield is 39.1 centners per hectare.
By region, the progress in the harvest looks as follows: Brest Oblast – 585,000 tonnes, Minsk Oblast – 433,000 tonnes, Grodno Oblast – 388,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast – 347,000 tonnes, Mogilev Oblast – 192,000 tonnes, Vitebsk Oblast – 106,000 tonnes.
