The big screen on Sovetskaya Square in Grodno became the place to be this Sunday, 19 July, as the city rolled out a special treat for football fans - the screening of the World Cup final.
According to Aleksey Apanovich, head of the ideological work and youth affairs department of the Grodno city administration, Grodno already had successful experience with broadcasting big matches. Last year, when FC Neman Grodno played in the Conference League, several thousand people gathered to cheer for their hometown team. Those football evenings became standout events, receiving positive feedback from residents and guests of the city. Now, the screening of the final match between Spain and Argentina drew thousands.
