Belarusian industry minister on working trip to China

Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov is on a working trip to the People’s Republic of China on 17-20 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Industry Ministry.

The visit aims to further strengthen bilateral industrial and trade ties, promote cooperation in industrial policy, share experience and establish new partnerships to boost joint projects and investments.

In Beijing, the Belarusian industry minister will take part in the first meeting of the industrial cooperation commission of the Belarus-China intergovernmental cooperation committee as its co-chair. The meeting will focus on the implementation of joint projects in such areas as mechanical engineering, woodworking, and petrochemicals. The meeting is expected to result in the signing of documents to step up the industrial partnership between Belarus and China.

The decision to set up the Belarus-China industrial cooperation commission was formalized on 21 May 2025 during the sixth meeting of the Belarus-China intergovernmental cooperation committee, which ended with the signing of a relevant protocol.

The document introduces amendments to the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the establishment of the Belarus-China intergovernmental cooperation committee.

The industrial cooperation commission was established to implement the comprehensive strategy for joint industrial development signed on 1 March 2023 during the official visit of Aleksandr Lukashenko to China. The commission will help coordinate initiatives, develop joint programs and implement industrial projects to promote the development of the economies of the two countries.
