Belarus’ tourism potential on show at Expo 2020 in Dubai

Belarus National Pavilion has displayed the country’s tourism potential at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry.

The presentation provided general information about the country, the services of the national online booking and payment service Vetliva, and promising areas of tourism development. Particular emphasis was placed on the environmental, cultural, educational and healthcare areas. “The presentation included video clips, advertising and informational materials about the tourist potential of our country, and a food tasting session and a B2B workshop,” the ministry said.

Representatives of the Tourism Department of the Sports and Tourism Ministry, the National Tourism Agency, Tsentrkurort, Belarustourist and Belprofsoyuzkurort held talks with representatives of various countries.

Dubai Expo is the largest international exhibition featuring more than 170 countries, which demonstrate latest achievements in science, technology, architecture and art every five years. The key theme of Belarus’ pavilion, which will stay open through 31 March 2022, is The Forest of Future Technologies. The exposition is divided into several zones: interactive corridor, Export.by, Innovations and Investments, Doors to Belarus, Sports and Tourism, a souvenir store, and an entertainment zone.
