Belarus has made it to the top ten countries to visit in Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2019 list, BelTA has learned from the website of the travel guide book publisher. Belarus was placed 8th in this ranking. The website welcomes the 30-day visa waiver and praises Belarus' art and cafe scene. Describing Minsk, the travel guide points to “its impeccably restored Old Town centered around the graceful town hall”, where travelers can visit fashionable cocktail bars and join summer street parties. The website notes that “Minsk has also become a hub for global events and summits” referring to the 2nd European Games 2019. The other top 10 countries to visit in 2019 include Germany, Zimbabwe, Panama, Kyrgyzstan, Jordan, Indonesia, Sao Tome and Principe, and Belize. Sri Lanka was named the best country to visit in 2019. The Lonely Planet travel guide book publisher was founded in 1972. It is headquartered in Australia.
