Belgospishcheprom Concern plans to privatize six enterprises, the head of Belgospishcheprom Concern Alexander Zabello told reporters when responding to a question about the list of companies which sale would bring at least $2.5 billion in foreign investments of in 2013.
“At the first stage, we are considering two projects, namely Minsk Margarine Plant, and Konfa confectionery factory,” Alexander Zabello said. The list also includes Orgpishcheprom, Pukhovichi Food Factory, OAO Stolichnyi Prospekt and OAO Agrotechusluga. Alexander Zabello noted that the list is not final. The matter is about the sale of 100% of shares of enterprises.
“Part of the shares of these companies will be put to sale this year. We have involved the international institute in this work. It deals with the presentation of the investment projects, including in foreign markets, and looks for potential investors. This can happen at any moment, as soon as we have an investor. We are ready for that,” said Alexander Zabello.
According to him, the sale of shares involves a variety of options, including tenders. According to the head of the concern, the sale of shares of enterprises through tenders is the best option. “This is fully in line with the Belarusian strategy: to sell openly, at the real market value,” Alexander Zabello added.
