In accordance with the UEFA Europe League round of 16 draw, BATE Borisov will host Turkish Fenerbahce at Neman Stadium in Grodno on 14 February 2013. The return will be played at the Istanbul Stadium on 21 February.
BATE will play their Europa League matches in Grodno for the first time. The reason for it is Dinamo Stadium which has been closed for a makeover. This year Viktor Goncharenko’s men have made it into the Champions League for the third time, but were unable to reach the 1/8 final.
BATE Borisov placed third in Group F (following Bayern Munich and Valencia) and for the second time advanced to the Europa League play-offs. The winner of the BATE vs Fenerbahce will book a spot in the 1/8 finals and set up a match with the winner of Napoli (Italy) vs Victoria (Czech Republic).
The Europa League 1/8 final matches will be held on 4 and 11 April; semis are scheduled for 25 April and 2 May. The 2012/2013 Europa League final will be played at AFC Ajax’s Amsterdam Arena, the Netherlands, on 15 May.
