The Belarusian team won bronze medals at the Grand Final of the World Cyber Games 2012 in the Chinese city of Kunshan.

        It is a unique result for Belarus. It is the first time a Belarusian team has managed to outplay teams from Europe and America as well as teams from Asian countries, which enjoy the reputation of unbeatable cyber sports leaders. The Belarusian team DevilMice included the players Maxim Doroshchenok, Kirill Kachinsky, Alexei Lipay, Oleg Zinovenko, and Artem Bashak. The WCG 2012 gathered teams from 40 countries. Although there had been difficulties like computer malfunctions, slow Internet access, and so on, the team spirit and some kind of a sixth sense led the team to the long-awaited victory. Belarusian gamers chose three disciplines, namely StarCraft II, DOTA 2, and World of Tanks for concentrating their efforts to secure a victory. In addition to making it to the top 3 the Belarusian team easily beat internationally recognized cyber athletes.
