The 11th international children's competition “Music of Hope” will be held in Gomel on 1-6 December

      The 11th  international children's competition “Music of Hope” will be held in Gomel on 1-6 December, Olga Antonenko, first deputy head of the culture department of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee said.
     The event, which will take place at the Tchaikovsky children's music school, will bring together more than 100 participants from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria and Lithuania. Every time the competition is held in one of the three nominations: “Piano”, “String-bow instruments”, “Wind and percussion instruments”. The nomination “Wind and percussion instruments” is in focus of the event this year.  According to Ms Olga Antonenko, the artistic contest is very popular among young artists. “Having participated in it once, the young artists return in the quest for new victories,” she said. In addition, the event also promotes international friendship and cultural ties, helps improve performance skills and discover the most gifted children.
    The organizers of the contest include the Culture Ministry of Belarus, culture department of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee, the culture department of the Gomel City council with the assistance of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for Support of Talented Youth.
