Global IT brands are expected to emerge in Belarus

Global brands in the Belarusian IT industry may emerge in the next few years, Andrei Savinykh, Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus told media.
Powerful brands may emerge in the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park where rather promising projects relating to the development of original IT products are being implemented already. “We can expect the emergence of global brands out of this environment,” said Andrei Savinykh.
Apart from that, there are prerequisites for the emergence of a powerful brand relating to the manufacturing of flax products. Although even today Belarus has brands of global significance. According to the official, some of them are the tractor Belarus, the heavy-duty dump truck (at present Belarus accounts for about 30% of the heavy-duty dump trucks market).
Brands are part of the national image, believes Andrei Savinykh. The quality of the country’s image depends on the recognition of brands of national manufacturers by the general public. For example, goods from Germany are traditionally associated with quality and reliability. It affects the recognition of the country as a whole.
