Lukashenko: No country is safe from interference in domestic affairs, terrorism

      No state is safe from the attempts to interfere in its domestic affairs and terrorism today, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at the 42nd conference of the BRSM Youth Union in Minsk, BelTA reports. Alexander Lukashenko remarked that youth projects, including those to preserve the memory of the feat of the Great Patriotic War veterans, are extremely important today. “If we forget about this Great Victory, if we lose what we cannot lose, we will lose our future. That is why, they are supported and will be supported by the authorities,” the head of state stressed.
      By the way, the conference started with the large-scale campaign We Remember and We Are Proud in the Victory Square, where the delegates laid wreaths at the monument. The campaign was followed by a new feature film presentation and a meeting with its authors and actors. BRYU Central Committee’s Secretary Viktoriya Miananava comments on the action and other events:

     “The year of 2015 has been proclaimed the Year of the Young, and it is only symbolic that this year we also celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
      Therefore, our plans include a number of patriotic events. We’ll continue working on the 100 Ideas for Belarus project, on the Days of the Young at the Slavianski Bazaar festival, we set up new international contacts with various organizations. By the way, the meeting in Minsk is attended by our peers from other countries, including Kazakhstan, Russian Federation.
      This conference takes place in the form of an open dialogue. Beginning with September we held meetings across the country, with young people having the possibility to communicate with representatives of the government, with celebrated figures of art and culture. They could ask any questions they wanted. And this, the final conference, takes place in the same format.”
