Belarus-Moldova trade up 18.5% in January-October 2014

       In January-October 2014 the trade between Belarus and Moldova totaled $346 million, up 18.5% as compared to the same period a year ago, the Embassy of Belarus in Moldova reports. Belarusian exports to Moldova totaled $228 million, supplies of Moldavian goods to Belarus reached $118 million. It is expected that the trade between Belarus and Moldova will show a good growth in 2014. In January-October 2014 the mutual trade between the two countries almost reached the figures of the previous year when the bilateral trade totaled $357 million.
       Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko during his visit to Moldova in September took note of the need to reach $0.5 billion in the mutual trade between the two countries. During the talks in Chisinau the Presidents of Belarus and Moldova agreed to expand the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
