Special diplomas of the Union State Permanent Committee were presented at the 23rd International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk. The awards were bestowed by Deputy State Secretary of the Union State, member of the Permanent Committee of the Union State Ivan Bambiza, BelTA has learned.
The awards were conferred on People’s Artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina, Honored Artist of Belarus, soloist of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus and Bolshoi Theater of Russia Oksana Volkova, Russian singer Zara, Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets.
The Vitebsk Oblast governor thanked the Union State for awarding the executive committee’s efforts to enhance relations between Belarus and Russia. “The Union State shows how integration can promote economic, social, political development within a short period of time,” the governor said. He emphasized that Vitebsk Oblast cooperates with 80 regions of Russia.
