Director General of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Sergei Nabeshko spoke about how meetings between business representatives and ambassadors help develop exports during the annual consultations with the heads of Belarus’ foreign missions in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Nabeshko pointed out that the BelCCI is a large system where organizations are united by a shared mission to promote export. “A great number of events take place annually. The platform for meetings with ambassadors has become a tradition, and it is in high demand. It must be said that here, too, we primarily focus precisely on the members of the chamber. That is, the BelCCI system itself implies protecting and representing the interests of organizations that are full members of the BelCCI. Therefore, enterprises and company heads who want to meet with ambassadors sign up for this event. The attendees are well-prepared professionals who understand their target markets, have prior entry experience, and know the problems they faced. They come seeking direct answers, assistance, or a concrete roadmap for future initiatives,” he said.
The ambassadors arrive in Belarus with a very intensive program of training and meetings with the top leadership to receive new tasks. “Therefore, over 200 enterprises have registered here. We want them to have time to discuss all the opportunities during this rather tight period. In addition to today’s morning platform, there will also be a large part in the evening program, which will feature the award ceremony of the 20th national contest Best Exporter of the Year. There will also be an opportunity to network with enterprises and representatives of diplomatic missions in a more informal setting,” Sergei Nabeshko said.
Deputy Director General for Commercial Affairs at Lidapishchekontsentraty Vadim Mikhailovsky emphasized that such platforms are highly effective for the further development and export potential of Belarusian enterprises, including the establishment of bilateral ties between different countries. “Our country is considered export-oriented, so these platforms yield results in the future for promoting Belarusian goods to countries all over the world. Everyone knows that Belarusian products are of high quality,” he emphasized.
Vadim Mikhailovsky pointed out that the enterprise has scheduled meetings with several ambassadors. “We produce instant food products. There are also issues in other areas, including the import of raw materials,” he added.
