Belarus, Russia’s Tver Oblast sign cooperation agreement

An agreement on cooperation in trade, economy, science, culture and social matters between the governments of Belarus and Tver Oblast of the Russian Federation was concluded in the city of Tver on 23 July, BelTA has learned.

On the Belarusian side, the document was signed by Yelena Morgunova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Standardization, and on behalf of the Tver Oblast, by Acting Governor of the region Vitaly Korolev.

At the signing ceremony, Yelena Morgunova noted that the agreement serves as a foundation for strengthening trade, economic, scientific, and socio-cultural cooperation between the parties. “In furtherance of this agreement, we are working on a roadmap with specific projects in trade and economic cooperation, cultural collaboration, and the patriotic education of our youth,” she said.

“Indeed, today we have laid the cornerstone for the further development of our relations with Belarus, which will only continue to grow stronger,” Vitaly Korolev emphasized. He added that the agreement is concluded for a period of five years, with the possibility of further extension.
