Indonesia introduces 30-day visa waiver for Belarusian citizens

Indonesia has introduced a 30-day visa waiver for citizens of Belarus, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a declaration, BelTA has learned.

“In accordance with the agreements reached between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta on 2 July 2026, the Indonesian side has introduced a 30-day visa waiver for citizens of the Republic of Belarus holding ordinary passports and traveling for tourism purposes starting from July 2026. Previously, Belarusians were required to obtain a visa on arrival,” the statement says.

Belarus, for its part, consistently pursues a policy of openness, the ministry emphasized. A visa waiver for Indonesian citizens was introduced back in 2017, and at present they can also stay in Belarus without a visa for up to 30 days.

“Jakarta’s decision is a practical step toward implementing the foreign policy course of the Belarusian head of state, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding humanitarian, business, and tourism contacts between the peoples of Belarus and Indonesia,” the ministry noted.
