The exchange trade between Belarusian and Chinese companies accredited at the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) exceeded $77 million in January-April 2026. The results and prospects were presented at the international economic forum Mill of Success in Mogilev, BelTA learned from the BUCE press service. A presentation of BUCE opportunities for Chinese business partners took place at the 16th international economic forum Mill of Success in Mogilev. The forum also featured bilateral meetings with Chinese company representatives interested in trading goods through the exchange. In January-April 2026, the value of exchange trade between Belarusian and Chinese companies accredited at BUCE exceeded $77 million. This is 37% higher than in the same period of 2025. The key factors behind the positive dynamics of exchange trade between the two countries were supplies of Belarusian agricultural products to the Chinese market and the sale in Belarus of import substituting products manufactured by Chinese producers. “Belarusian exports still dominate the structure of exchange trade, accounting for 89%. In monetary terms, this is over $68 million. The growth rate compared to January-April 2025 is 129%,” Deputy Head of Foreign Economic Relations at BUCE German Puzyrny said. Producers from Mogilev Oblast are actively using the exchange mechanism to work in the Chinese market. In the first four months of 2026, the region’s enterprises almost doubled their exchange exports to China, reaching $1.7 million. The largest sales volumes came from meat products, namely beef semi finished products and beef by products. As of 14 May, 386 Chinese business entities were accredited at BUCE, 39 new ones since the beginning of the year.
