The National Bank of Belarus and the Bank of Laos have expressed interest in developing correspondent relationships, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Bank.
On the sidelines of the 10th Finopolis Forum of Innovative Financial Technologies held in Sochi, Russia, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Aleksandr Yegorov held talks with Deputy Governor of the Bank of Laos Soulysak Thamnuvong.
The parties praised the existing cooperation between them and emphasized the importance of banking support for the trade and economic relations between the two countries, as well as the need to develop concrete and effective mechanisms for settlements between commercial banks and businesses, including in national currencies.
