Belarusian law enforcement officials shared their experience in combating internet fraud with their Chinese colleagues, the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs told BelTA.
Following their visit to Beijing, the delegation from Belarus’ Ministry of Internal Affairs traveled to Shanghai, where they visited the Yuyuan Intelligent Command Center, a counterpart to Belarus’ national public safety monitoring system. The guests also studied the operations of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau. Belarus’ Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov thanked bureau’s Chief Zhang Yahong for the warm welcome and the opportunity to thoroughly explore aspects of public order protection.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues, including road safety and combating drunk driving. Special emphasis was placed on fighting online fraud, which remains a pressing issue for China. Belarus has seen positive trends in this area, and Ivan Kubrakov shared insights on how these results were achieved.
The meeting also addressed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation across various areas of law enforcement activity.
