Lukashenko seeks to improve system of financing sports

On 17 October Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 396 to extend Decree No. 191 “On support for physical culture and sports organizations” of 15 April 2013 until 30 June 2025, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The press service of the president remarked that the government is currently working on proposals to improve the system of support for the sports industry, including through strengthening control over the allocation of funds from local budgets and state enterprises for these purposes, optimizing the financing of clubs in team sports depending on their performance.
