Lukashenko sends greetings to Belarus' delegation at 2nd European Games 2019

Belarus President, President of the National Olympic Committee Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the members of the Belarusian delegation at the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The president stressed that the history of the Olympic movement in the country is long and glorious. “We are proud of the Belarusian athletes whose names are forever etched in the annals of domestic and international sports. We admire their courage, fortitude, and the will to win. To be worthy of the sport heroes of the past means to perform to the best of your ability, to show the best result at the 2nd European Games, and to celebrate Belarus once again as one of the greatest sporting nations with your impressive performances and convincing records,” the message of greetings runs. 

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed his confidence that determination, prowess, and ambitions of athletes and coaches will take the Belarusian team to new Olympic heights. “The energy of our land will add strength to you and the home crowd will spur you on to uncompromising and spectacular fight for medals,” the head of state said. 

The president wished the members of the national delegation strong health, good luck and great victories for the glory of Belarus.
