Electric motorcycles and electric quadbikes being developed in Belarus

Electric motorcycles and electric quadbikes are being developed in Belarus, BelTA quotes Andrei Podobed, Head of the Commerce Department of the instrument-making plant Optron of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

According to the executive, engineering documents are ready for heavy electric scooters. Breadboard models based on proprietary wheel hub motors and controllers have been developed. Apart from that, the company has a strong interest in electric motorcycles and electric quadbikes. Development is already in progress.

Belarusian electric transport products for individuals are not available in retail for now. The products have to go through the testing and certification process.

Optron Company has modernized motor hub wheels for light vehicles and has developed a new control module and software. Work is now in progress to design individual electric transport based on these wheels.
