In 2012 Belarusian company Atomtech has shipped over 700 radiation detectors for food to Japan, which makes about 25% of the Japanese market of these products. At present, Atomtech is among the biggest developers and producers of radiation measurement devices in the CIS. The company is going to focus on the development of devices to measure radioactive nuclides in a human body. The operations of Atomtech were recently discussed during the visit of Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Igor Voitov to Minsk Instrument-Making Research Center. Igor Voitov noted that the research center manufactures innovative and advanced products that are sold around the world, from Russia and Ukraine to overseas markets.
In 2012 the research center has been working on over 20 projects as part of government programs Radioelectronics-2, Electronics and Photonics, Space Systems and Technologies, Reference Standards and Research Devices. “The successful implementation of these projects by the research center generated a considerable economic effect,” Igor Voitov said.
