Grodno to carry out Christmas at Eliza Orzeszkowa’s project

         The event “Christmas at Eliza Orzeszkowa’s” starts in Grodno on 17 December. The event will be held as part of the Living History project.
On 17-22 December the event organizers invite Grodno residents and guests to celebrate the Christmas with the well-known Belarusian writer. During these days Grodno will hold the celebrations according to the pre-Christmas traditions of the late 19th - early 20th century. The house of the writer, which is now the information-educational center, will host a literary and musical salon dedicated to charity activities of Eliza Orzeszkowa, a charity Christmas party for orphaned children, an exhibition of children's drawings "In Wait of Christmas”, and a concert for children with disabilities.
         Grodno residents are offered to make their contribution to the exposition "Grodno and Grodno dwellers of the times of Eliza Orzeszkowa” and provide for temporary display the pictures, books, postcards and household items common for the times when the writer lived.
