Belarus's Irina Shimanovich is off to a bad start at Wimbledon juniors

The young tennis player from Belarus Irina Shimanovich is off to a bad start at Wimbledon juniors, BelTA has learned. 

The 17-year-old Belarusian lost the opening match to Russian Natalia Vikhlyantseva in straight sets 1:6, 3:6. Irina Shimanovich is ranked 402nd in the WTA main rating and 7th among the players under 18. In late August, Irina will play in the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games (YOG).

At the first Youth Games in Singapore in 2010, Belarusian tennis player Ilona Kremen reached the second round in the singles and the quarterfinal in the doubles.
