A motor rally to mark the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation

A motor rally from Moscow to Minsk to mark the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazis has started. The event is organized jointly by the Voluntary Associations for Assistance to Army, Air Force and Navy of Belarus and Russia, the Union State Permanent Committee reports

The patriotic campaign kicked off at the Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow and will finish at the Minsk Museum of the Great Patriotic War on 1 July. The participants of the motor rally will cross the hero cities and the cities of military glory of Russia and Belarus.

The route lies through Kaluga, Bryansk, Gomel, Zhlobin, Bobruisk, Mogilev, Orsha, Vitebsk, Polotsk, Borisov and Minsk. The participants of the motor rally will meet with war veterans and the youth, place wreaths to war memorials, visit military museums and key battle sites.
