French observer views Belarus’ elections ‘a paragon of democracy’

      An independent observer, head of the France-Belarus Friendship Group in Nord-Pas-de-Calais Bernard Seux views the 2012 parliamentary elections in Belarus as a good example of democracy.
The international observer has not noticed any pressure on people to vote. “No pressure is felt. I see ordinary people who come to the polling station on their own free will. I can call the elections I am observing today a paragon of democracy,” he stressed.
      The French representative added that he had had the same feelings regarding the presidential election in 2010 where he was accredited as an international observer, too.
Let’s note that most of foreign observers also praise the way the Belarusian parliamentary elections.
In an interview to radio Belarus an independent observer from Hungary Dula Turmer said that the recent changes in the electoral law have greatly contributed to a good atmosphere of the parliamentary election. He is convinced that the parliamentary election in Belarus took place in a free and democratic way.
