Lukashenko sends first pontificate anniversary greetings to Pope Leo XIV

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings as Pope Leo XIV celebrates the first anniversary of his pontificate, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
 
“Amid numerous armed conflicts and deep divisions in the world, your voice consistently rings out as a call for peace and humanity,” the message of greetings reads.
 
The head of state noted that the consistent and principled position of the Holy See, aimed at de-escalating crisis situations, reconciling parties, and affirming the absolute value of human life, commands sincere respect and recognition.
 
“I am confident that your service will continue to serve as an important guide for the international community in its search for mutual understanding, a path toward constructive dialogue, and fair solutions for the sake of global stability,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
 
The president wished the Pope robust health, spiritual strength, fortitude, and success in his lofty mission.
