Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Yamandu Orsi on his election as President of Uruguay, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“The sovereign people of Uruguay have demonstrated a high level of confidence in the course focused on the consistent social and economic development of the country and strengthening of its international authority. It is in this direction that the state under your leadership will go in the next five years,” the message of congratulations reads. “You can count on Belarus as a reliable and responsible partner, interested in building relations with Uruguay on the basis of mutual understanding and respect for the sake of effective protection of the independence of the two countries and maintenance of a just world order.”
“I am convinced that your activity will contribute to the intensification of cooperation between Minsk and Montevideo in areas of mutual interest, expansion of joint work in the international arena,” the president said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Yamandu Orsi good health and fulfillment of all plans in his responsible state post.
