Belarus hosts Days of Hungarian Culture

Days of Hungarian Culture have been launched in Belarus.

Apart from a gala concert at the Musical Theatre and a historical exhibition, Minsk hosted official talks in the field of culture at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. For Monika Balatoni it is the first foreign visit after her appointment as State Secretary for Cultural Diplomacy of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry. According to her, acquaintance with Belarus is important for further cooperation.

Days of Belarusian culture, held in Hungary in 2010, were the first interstate cultural event in the history of bilateral relations. Since then, cultural exchanges have become a tradition. Not long ago, Belarus received Hungarian artists, and the Budapest Historical Museum hosted the exhibition "Icons of Belarus of XVII-XVIII centuries", which consisted of 30 unique icons from the National Art Museum of Belarus. Days of Hungarian Culture continued in the Belarusian Musical Theatre with the show called "Spring Wind" based on authentic Hungarian dances and music, performed by the Duna dance ensemble from Budapest.
