Nadezhda Skardino of Belarus third at E.ON IBU World Cup 7

The E.ON IBU World Cup 7 started in Pokljuka, Slovenia.2014 Sochi Olympics bronze medalist Nadezhda Skardino of Belarus finished third in the women’s 7.5km sprint, clocking 21:31.2 with clean shooting. Austria's Katharina Innerhofer claimed her first World Cup victory covering the course in 21:19.1 (clean shooting). Russia's Daria Virolaynen also shot clean to finish second, 9.2 seconds back. Lyudmila Kalinchik of Belarus matched her rivals on the shooting range but finished 8th, 45.0 back. Leader of the Belarusian national biathlon team three-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva, with five penalties, finished 28th (+1:40.5). Anastasia Duborezova was 53rd (+2:26.4; 3), Anastasia Kalina – 60th (+2:53.5; 4). The men’s 10km sprint was won by Sweden’s Bjorn Ferry, clocking 25:03.5 (1 penalty). Second was Russia’s Anton Shipulin, 1.5 seconds back (clean shooting). Third went Germany's Arnd Peiffer, with one penalty, 2.6 seconds back.  Alexander Dorozhko of Belarus finished 27th, Vladimir Chepelin was 40th, Yuri Lyadov – 43rd, and Sergei Novikov – 74th.
