Lukashenko looks to boost comprehensive ties between Minsk, Tbilisi

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader. The Belarusian head of state noted that this holiday symbolizes the resilience and national unity of the Georgian people. “I am confident that Georgia will continue on its path of sustainable development, strengthening state institutions and improving the wellbeing of its citizens, which in turn will contribute to the country’s steady progress and enhance its standing on the international stage,” the message of greetings reads. “I count on stepping up comprehensive cooperation between Minsk and Tbilisi for the benefit of our peoples, including in the trade, economic, humanitarian, and cultural sectors,” the president emphasized. Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Mikheil Kavelashvili good health, optimism, and success, and wished the people of Georgia peace, prosperity, and a cloudless future.
