Lukashenko off to Russia on working visit

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has left for the Russian Federation on a working visit, BelTA has learned.
 
At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Belarusian head of state, together with other high-ranking foreign guests, will take part in celebrations marking the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The centerpiece of the festive events will be Red Square in Moscow, where the traditional Victory Day parade will take place. This will be followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
 
The presidents of Belarus and Russia are also scheduled to meet. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will discuss a wide range of topics, including bilateral cooperation, international affairs, and the regional situation.
 
Upon returning to Minsk, Aleksandr Lukashenko will take part in the commemorative events held in the Belarusian capital.
