This was discussed during a meeting between Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich and Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, BelTA learned from the government’s press service.

Viktor Karankevich emphasized that Belarus views Indonesia as a reliable, important, and promising partner. “Belarus is committed to steping up comprehensive cooperation with the Republic of Indonesia,” the deputy prime minister noted.

The meeting addressed prospects for cooperation across a wide range of areas of mutual interest. The Belarusian side reaffirmed its readiness for multifaceted cooperation, including support for Indonesia’s key goals of ensuring food security and improving agricultural productivity through the use of Belarus' experience in the mechanization of the agro-industrial sector.

In particular, the parties discussed the supply of Belarusian food products, specialized agricultural machinery, and trailer and mounted equipment, as well as the possibility of establishing joint assembly ventures for this machinery in Indonesia.

The parties also discussed supplies from Indonesia to Belarus, including rubber, seafood, cocoa beans, and other agricultural products.
