Family capital revised upward in Belarus in 2022

The amount of the family capital rose by 9.5% to total Br25,995 on 1 January 2022, BelTA learned from the Labor and Social Security Ministry of Belarus.

During the period from 1 January to 31 December 2021, the family capital was equal Br23,737.5.

"A family capital deposit account in the amount of Br25,995 is opened as a family gives birth (or adopts) the third or subsequent child during the period from January 1 to 31 December 2022," the ministry said.
 
Experts stressed that the family capital is awarded in the amount valid on the date of birth of the third or subsequent child, and in the case of adoption - on the date of adoption of the third or subsequent child, i.e. on the day the court decision on adoption enters into force.
