Culture Ministry to focus on Castles of Belarus program in 2013

      The government program “Castles of Belarus” designed to run in 2012-2018 and also the government program “Culture of Belarus” for 2011-2015 will be a priority for the Culture Ministry in 2013, Culture Minister Boris Svetlov told reporters.

      Last year Belarusian president approved the draft code “Culture of Belarus”, which aims at simplifying and systematizing our legislation. Now we are ready to work directly on the code.
       We need a bill which would promote our cooperation with Belarusian living abroad.
There is a need to design the schedule of works on the sites that make part of the Castles of Belarus program. In 2012 works were carried on 19 sites. The Castles of Belarus program aims to create the favorable conditions for the preservation, restoration and management of the historical and cultural sites, and to develop domestic and inbound tourism.
