FC Borisov BATE pitted against SK Slovan Bratislava in UEFA Champions League playoff

        Borisov BATE will face Slovak title holders SK Slovan Bratislava in the UEFA Champions League playoff this season. The draw took place at the House of European football in Nyon, Switzerland. First leg matches will be held on 19/20 August and the second leg on 26/27 August. FC Borisov BATE will start their playoff run with an away match.
       Ten-time champion of Belarus FC Borisov BATE began this season in the Champions League from the second qualifying round against Albanian Skenderbeu -0:0 (home) and 1:1 (away). In the third qualifying round the Belarusian club beat Hungary’s Debrecen (0:1 away and a 3:1 win at home).
FC Borisov BATE advanced to the UEFA Champions League group stage three times in its history (2008/09, 2011/12 and 2012/13).
