Belarusian agricultural equipment sells well in Khabarovsk Krai


        Agricultural companies of Khabarovsk region prefer to buy Belarusian-made equipment which accounts for more than a half of all purchases, BelTA quotes the press service of the region’s Administration. According to Alexander Rog-Kustov, head of the department for technical and technological policy in agriculture of the Khabarovsk region Agriculture and Food Ministry, Belarusian agricultural equipment was efficient in terms of extreme farming. “In fact, Belarusian-made equipment accounts for more than a half of our purchases. This year agricultural companies are planning to buy 48 items of Belarusian equipment. On the whole, Khabarovsk region has bought about 200 items since 2011. These are mostly tractors, grain and fodder harvesters, small equipment. The budget of Khabarovsk region covers up to 60% of equipment cost,” he said. The Khabarovsk region Administration and the representatives of Belarus will discuss agricultural cooperation next week. The Belarusian delegation will pay a return visit to the region of Russia. The negotiations will focus on the prospects to set up an assembly plant for Belarusian agricultural equipment in Khabarovsk region and the possibility to establish joint ventures in crop farming and animal husbandry.
