Belarus and Turkmenistan to speed up mining and processing factory construction

       Belarus and Turkmenistan intend to accelerate the construction of the Garlyk mining and processing factory. The idea was discussed during a working visit of Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin to Ashgabad.
      The visit took place on 12-15 September. A second meeting at the government level was held to discuss the construction project involving Belarusian and Turkmen construction workers. The sides pointed out the slow progress and agreed to put more efforts into the work in order to commission the factory on time. An agreement was reached to hold an offsite meeting at the level of governments of the two countries at the construction site in October 2012.
      Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin met with Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Annamukhamet Gochiyev and Akmytat Yegeleyev. The sides discussed matters of economic relations and taxation. A special attention was paid to sales of Belarusian automobiles and tractors in Turkmenistan. The sides agreed to promptly consider the possibility of using Belarus-made ceramic granite to finish buildings and to take prompt measures to allocate the land plot to build an OJSC MAZ service center by the official dealer of the Belarusian company.
