Le Bélarus et Oman prévoient d'ouvrir des ambassades à Mascate et à Minsk. Cela a été annocé lors de la rencontre du président biélorusse Alexandre Loukachenko avec le sultan d’Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Saïd. Les négociations se sont déroulées dans un cadre informel. Le chef d’État biélorusse a invité chez lui le leader omanais. Comme l’a souligné Alexandre Loukachenko, la décision a été prise et le plan sera mis en œuvre sans faute.
« Nous avons pris la décision. Et nous allons mettre ce plan en œuvre sans faute. C’est une démarche tout à fait pragmatique. Non pas parce que nous sommes de vieux amis, mais parce que c’est pragmatique. Nous entamons une coopération commerciale et économique sérieuse. Et les ambassadeurs seront le moteur de notre coopération. »
Le Bélarus et Oman ouvrent une nouvelle page de leur coopération. Des bases solides ont été jetées pour une coopération mutuellement bénéfique dans de nombreux domaines. Le vice-Premier ministre biélorusse, Viktor Karankevich, l’a déclaré lors d’une réunion en Conseil des ministres avec le vice-Premier ministre du Sultanat d’Oman chargé de la Défense, Shihab bin Tariq.
A l’issue des négociations, une feuille de route de coopération pour 2026-2027 a été signée. Elle définit les étapes concrètes de l’interaction entre les secteurs : un ensemble de documents dans les domaines de l'agriculture, de la logistique, de la santé et de la justice. Les deux pays ont également pris des mesures pour développer le tourisme et échanger des délégations commerciales. Un accord sur l’abolition mutuelle des visas a été signé. Un accord sur le lancement de projets d'investissement conjoints a également été un résultat important.
