Belarus hat einen Protest gegen die Entscheidung Polens angekündigt, den Verkehr über die belarussische Grenze für die Dauer der Militärübung Sapad 2025 zu schließen. Das teilte der Pressedienst des belarussischen Außenministeriums mit.
„Das Außenministerium der Republik Belarus hat den interimistischen Geschäftsträger der Republik Polen, Krzysztof Ozhanna, einbestellt. Ihm wurde ein Protest ausgesprochen im Zusammenhang mit der Entscheidung Polens, den Verkehr über die Staatliche Grenze für die Dauer der Militärübung Sapad 2025 auszusetzen.
„Illegale Maßnahmen, die einseitig ergriffen werden, betreffen tatsächlich die gesamte Grenze der Europäischen Union zu Belarus und schaffen erhebliche Schwierigkeiten für die normale Beförderung von Personen und Gütern“, hieß es aus dem Amt. Durch dieses Vorgehen fügt Polen vielen Staaten im Osten wie im Westen einen enormen Schaden zu. „Das ist ein offensichtlicher Missbrauch seiner geografischen Lage, eine „Privatisierung“ der EU- und EAWU-Grenzen, der Grenze zwischen West und Ost“, stellte das Außenministerium fest.
Belarus ist überzeugt, dass dieser Schritt der polnischen Seite völlig haltlos erscheint, insbesondere angesichts der völligen Offenheit und Transparenz der belarussischen Militärübung für die internationale Gemeinschaft. „Die vorübergehende Aussetzung des Grenzverkehrs deutet eher auf die Absicht hin, ihre eigenen Handlungen zu verbergen, als auf das Vorhandensein irgendeiner Bedrohung seitens von Belarus. Mit solchen Maßnahmen setzt Polen seinen Kurs auf die Untergrabung von Beziehungen zu den Nachbarländern fort. Das führt zur weiteren Eskalation der Spannungen in der Region und schafft Risiken für die Stabilität und Berechenbarkeit in den internationalen Beziehungen“, betonte das Außenministerium.
Diese Position der belarussischen Seite wurde auch dem interimistischen Geschäftsträger der Europäischen Union in der Republik Belarus, Steen Noerlov, zur Kenntnis gebracht. „Der europäische Diplomat hat versichert, dass die Handlungen Polens eine entsprechende Bewertung hinsichtlich der Verhältnismäßigkeit der getroffenen Maßnahmen und des tatsächlichen Ausmaßes der Bedrohung erhalten werden“.
