El X Encuentro Internacional de Pantomima Habana 2024, inaugurado hoy, despertó emociones en el público capitalino con un espectáculo que rindió tributo a dos excepcionales maestros: Mateuz Kowalski (Polonia) y Javier Alejandro Soria (Cuba).
La capitalina sala Tito Junco del Centro Cultural Bertolt Brecht vistió de gala con la actuación de la Compañía Teatro del Cuerpo Fusión, bajo la guía de la maestra Maritza Acosta, directora artística y general del evento, y del artista circense Alejandro Álvarez.
En ese escenario, Acosta homenajeó a Kowalski, joven continuador de la Escuela polaca de Henryk Tomaszewski (1914-2005), a la obra de este artista y al Teatro Físico.
La maestra también dedicó merecidos elogios a Soria, apodado Pie, por su invaluable aporte al desarrollo de la pantomima, amplia ejecutoria, entrega incondicional como creador excepcional, mimo de excelencia y formador de nuevas generaciones.
Han pasado dos años desde nuestro último encuentro, vernos nuevamente, compartir y disfrutar de este intercambio de experiencias y saberes que nos hace crecer como artistas y seres humanos, unidos por la pasión del arte del gesto, expresó Acosta casi al finalizar.
A su juicio, estos eventos hacen realidad el sueño de progresar en el dominio de las diferentes técnicas y despiertan el interés por el estudio profundo de esa disciplina.
El mimo, dijo, es un artista especial y universal, capaz de colocar en cada espectador todas las emociones que se proponga, contando para ello como herramienta principal el cuerpo cultivado, más el dominio de una rigurosa técnica.
Hoy estamos aquí reunidos para aportar un granito de arena a esa capacidad expresiva que nos caracteriza, pero más que todo para reconocernos, respetar a cada escuela y aprender de los métodos y formas de ver la técnica, añadió.
La directora artística y general del evento resaltó la influencia que tuvo en su carrera la obra de Tomaszewski, en tanto Kowalski elogió el talento y la energía de los jóvenes en el escenario, además de las cualidades del artista polaco homenajeado.
En esta edición participa también la compañía cubana Teatro del MIMO CLAN, que dirige el maestro Omar Amador, así como 21 artistas invitados de Brasil, México, Colombia, Argentina, Italia, Suiza, Puerto Rico, España y Polonia.
Organizado por la Compañía Teatro del Cuerpo Fusión, el encuentro concluirá el domingo próximo con estampas vernáculas, degustación de platillos con temáticas vinculadas a la cita, un performance del artista cubano de la plástica Alexis Gutiérrez y el desfile por varias avenidas de esta capital, entre otras iniciativas.

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
