La Unión Económica Euroasiática (UEE) e Indonesia comenzarán negociaciones sobre un tratado de libre comercio, informaron a BelTA en la Comisión Económica Euroasiática (CEE).
“El miembro del Colegio (ministro) de Comercio de la Comisión Económica Euroasiática, Andréi Slepniov, y el ministro de Comercio de la República de Indonesia, Zulkifli Hasan, firmaron una declaración conjunta sobre el comienzo de negociaciones sobre un tratado de libre comercio. El documento, en particular, fija el acuerdo sobre la celebración de la primera ronda de negociaciones en el primer trimestre de 2023”, comentaron en la CEE.
“La Unión Económica Euroasiática da mucha importancia al desarrollo de la cooperación de beneficio mutuo con Indonesia, que es uno de nuestros principales socios comerciales en la ANSA y Asia-Pacífico en general. Es necesario aprovechar el potencial sin explotar: como mostró el estudio, la liberalización del comercio podría permitir aumentar el giro comercial en otros 1,5 mil millones de dólares estadounidenses”, subrayó Andréi Slepniov.
Con todo eso, el ministro de la CEE afirmó que existen perspectivas tanto para los productos agrícolas, que tradicionalmente constituyen la mayoría de las importaciones de la UEE desde Indonesia, como para un grupo industrial, que se comercia activamente en ambas direcciones. Al mismo tiempo, en su opinión, para la implementación efectiva del futuro tratado, es importante promover la interacción entre las comunidades empresariales de la UEE e Indonesia. Lo facilitará la celebración de foros, ferias de comercio e inversión, seminarios, la asistencia mutua en la búsqueda de socios.
“Como una de las plataformas donde podríamos seguir discutiendo las perspectivas de profundizar la cooperación, proponemos organizar un diálogo empresarial bilateral en el marco del Foro Económico Euroasiático en primavera de 2023”, informó el ministro de Comercio de la CEE a su colega, expresando la esperanza de que Indonesia apoyara el evento.
Según la CEE, en enero-septiembre de 2022 el intercambio de mercancías entre la UEE e Indonesia se aumentó el 48,4 % en comparación con el mismo período de 2021, mientras que las exportaciones de la UEE multiplicaron más de 2,5 veces, las importaciones – casi el 16 %.
