众议院副主席瓦列里·米茨凯维奇作为白俄罗斯共和国国民议会与拉美议会联系代表团团长，在巴拿马出席了拉美议会第三十六届大会。
大会的主要议题是分析与新冠疫情COVID-19 流行有关的拉丁美洲地区的局势。
大会开幕前夕，瓦列里·米茨凯维奇会见了拉丁美洲议会(PARLATINO)执行秘书埃利亚斯·卡斯蒂略。
会谈中，双方确认了有兴趣发展议会间的合作，并愿意帮助加强白俄罗斯共和国与拉丁美洲议会成员国之间的互利关系。
副议长在大会开幕的致辞中指出，白俄罗斯与拉美和加勒比国家对平等、社会公正和经济互利合作等原则有着共同的理解。他强调，国际社会没有能力共同解决对人类具有重大意义的问题，这对人们的生命和健康构成了真正的威胁。
新冠病毒的状况、疫苗战争、不同国家在疫苗的获得和接种水平方面不平等，只会凸显国际关系中的系统性问题：国家利己主义的主导地位，国际安全架构的破坏，国际法基本原则和准则的遗忘，违反《联合国宪章》要求的制裁措施。
白俄罗斯一贯主张缓和世界政治的紧张局势，立即采取果断措施，加强建立信任措施并进行建设性的对话。瓦列里·米茨凯维奇说，白俄罗斯国家元首的“赫尔辛基-2”倡议就是针对这一点。众议院副主席注意到议会外交在保护地球和平与安全方面的重要作用，表示希望拉丁美洲的议员支持白俄罗斯的统一倡议

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
