В запасе белорусской стороны был набор очень серьезных мер реагирования на ситуацию в украинском Днепре, где недавно Государственный флаг Республики Беларусь был заменен на другую символику. Об этом министр иностранных дел Владимир Макей рассказал на пресс-конференции в Минске.
Он отметил, что является сторонником тихой дипломатии, и считает, что многие проблемы можно решить без громких заявлений: "Серьезные вещи в подавляющем большинстве случаев решаются в тишине".
В случае с инцидентом в Днепре МИД действовал публично, об этом сообщалось в том числе и в СМИ: был вызван посол Украины в МИД, ему вручили соответствующую ноту, посол Беларуси в Украине направил ноту в МИД этой страны. Была также попытка выйти на прямой разговор с мэром Днепра, но он отказался от контактов. "Все эти дни мы активно работали над тем, чтобы восстановить статус-кво, - отметил министр. - Украинской стороне было доведено наше четкое видение, какие могут быть в ближайшие дни наши ответные шаги, реакция на этот абсолютно бездумный инцидент".
"В нашем запасе был набор очень серьезных мер. Я рад, что нам не пришлось до конца их использовать", - сказал министр. По его словам, сегодня должна состояться встреча с послом Украины в Беларуси, назначенная по просьбе последнего.
Главное для Беларуси (и это доказывают фотографии, сделанные недавно в Днепре), что все флаги, которые были ранее вывешены, заменены на украинские. "Таким образом они решили выйти из данной ситуации. Мы всегда были готовы решать вопросы в конструктивном ключе, но поверьте: прежде чем идти на жесткие, решительные действия, мы всегда пытаемся решить вопросы в спокойном, конструктивном русле. И впредь будем поступать таким образом", - заявил министр.
Владимир Макей подчеркнул, что Беларусь всегда стремилась поддерживать хорошие отношения с соседними государствами, формируя вокруг себя так называемый пояс добрососедства, однако в последнее время в этом поясе появились бреши. "На те выпады, агрессивные шаги, которые делаются в отношении Беларуси, мы вынуждены, обязаны отвечать, иначе видим, что некоторые наши соседи начинают воспринимать это как слабость, слабость власти и государства", - сказал он.
