Необходимо сделать все, чтобы возродить пострадавшие от аварии на Чернобыльской АЭС регионы и вдохнуть в них жизнь. Об этом Президент Беларуси Александр Лукашенко заявил на митинге-реквиеме по случаю 35-летия аварии на Чернобыльской АЭС, передает корреспондент БЕЛТА.
Глава государства подчеркнул, что в течение ближайших пяти лет нужно, выдержав все нападки и давление, с которыми сталкивается Беларусь, сформировать программу развития пострадавших регионов, возродить эти земли.
"Наше поколение и следующее за мной поколение наших детей понимают, что такое Великая Отечественная война, хотя и не воевали. Мы это хорошо знаем. Наши дети знают. А вы уверены, что дети наших детей будут так же остро ощущать эти проблемы? Как показали последние события конца прошлого года - не все, - заметил глава государства. - Поэтому если мы чернобыльскую проблему не решим в течение 5 лет, не определимся, что будем делать в будущем, особенно в эти 5 лет на этих землях, никто не решит. Боль уйдет. Из наших судеб уйдет Чернобыль. Останется ли в жизни, сердцах и судьбах наших детей и внуков эта боль, сказать трудно. Поэтому, чего бы нам ни стоило, мы должны сделать все, чтобы, возродив земли, вдохнуть в них настоящую жизнь".
Именно для этого Президент посещает пострадавшие регионы и знакомится с ситуацией в них, совершая облет над территорией на вертолете. "Когда поднимаешься над этими регионами, до слез больно, что эти земли могли бы остаться неухоженными, что они могли бы исчезнуть", - признался глава государства.
Особую признательность он выразил тем людям, кто решил продолжать жить в пострадавших регионах.
"За это от имени белорусского народа примите самые добрые мои пожелания и глубочайшую благодарность за ваше мужество. Вы не понимаете, какой подвиг вы совершаете, проживая здесь, возрождая земли и взращивая детишек. Низкий вам поклон. Огромная вам благодарность. И мы сделаем все, чтобы этот край возродить", - заявил белорусский лидер.
Он также призвал бережно хранить память о ликвидаторах аварии на ЧАЭС: "Не забывайте их. Это герои, которые знали, что они умрут в мирное время. Вы представляете, что такое умирать в мирное время? Закрывать сердцами и жизнями чьи-то косяки (не наша это была трагедия). Они шли и умирали. Они достойны того, чтобы мы не просто о них помнили, а приходили сюда и приводили своих детей, чтобы они понимали, что такое жизнь, и ценили ее".

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
