Eine Delegation der Österreichisch-Weißrussischen Gesellschaft unter Leitung von Prof. Dr. Peter Bachmaier ist vom 5. bis 10. Mai nach Belarus eingereist. Das teilte die belarussische Botschaft in Wein mit. Eines der Delegationsmitglieder ist Maria Hetzer, die seit mehreren Jahren das Projekt “Erholung für Kinder aus Belarus” leitet und für ihre Arbeit um die Betreuung belarussischer Kinder aus Tschernobyl-Regionen mit Skaryna-Orden ausgezeichnet wurde. Am 7. Mai lädt die Belarussische Gesellschaft für Freundschaft und kulturelle Beziehungen mit Ausland belarussische Germanistik-Studenten und Lektoren zum landeskundlichen Seminar ein. Vertreter der österreichischen Delegation erzählen über Geschichte, Kultur, Wirtschaft, Innen- und Außenpolitik von Österreich. Zum Ausklang der Veranstaltung soll im Haus der Freundschaft ein feierliches Konzert stattfinden. „Stimme der Kindheit“, ein Chor der Belarussischen Fernseh- und Rundfunkgesellschaft, präsentiert Werke belarussischer Komponisten, das Flötenkollektiv „Brevis“ erfreut alle Gäste mit mittelalterlicher Musik. Nach dem Konzert soll die Präsentation der Ausstellung „Minsk-Linz“ stattfinden. Student der Belarussischen Akademie der Künste, Januar Shwirbl, und Alex Kaplun von der Kunstuniversität Linz, die am Studenten-Austauschprogramm teilgenommen haben, stellen ihre Werke aus. Auf dem Besuchsprogramm der österreichischen Delegation stehen Treffen mit der Leitung des Belarussischen Jugendverbandes BRSM und Unternehmenskreisen, Besichtigung des Hauses der Barmherzigkeit, mehrerer Bildungseinrichtungen und Teilnahme an der feierlichen Parade am Tag des Sieges.

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
