Президент Беларуси Александр Лукашенко примет участие в открытии 26-й сессии Парламентской ассамблеи ОБСЕ, которая пройдет в Минске 5-9 июля, а также встретится с руководством организации. Об этом сообщил журналистам председатель Палаты представителей Национального собрания Владимир Андрейченко по итогам встречи с главой государства.
"Президент дал согласие принять участие в открытии сессии, а также проведет встречу с председателем Парламентской ассамблеи ОБСЕ Кристин Муттонен и действующим председателем ОБСЕ, министром иностранных дел Австрии Себастьяном Курцем", - сказал Владимир Андрейченко.
Он подчеркнул, что Беларусь неслучайно была выбрана местом проведения сессии, ведь страна вносит значительный вклад в обеспечение европейской безопасности, проводит последовательную и предсказуемую внутреннюю и внешнюю политику.
По словам председателя Палаты представителей, подготовка к этому масштабному мероприятию ведется очень активно, регулярно проводятся заседания организационного комитета. "Уже зарегистрировано 593 участника сессии из 56 государств. Самая большая делегация будет из Соединенных Штатов Америки, она насчитывает 49 депутатов. Из Германии - 20 депутатов, из Италии - 24, из Российской Федерации - 24, - рассказал Владимир Андрейченко. - Мы ожидаем, что еще зарегистрируются шесть-семь стран".
Кроме официальных мероприятий, для участников сессии ПА ОБСЕ будет организована насыщенная культурная программа. Делегаты посетят знаковые места Беларуси, побывают в ее замках и других известных объектах.

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
