Le Bélarus a célébré le 72ième anniversaire de la Victoire dans la Grande Guerre patriotique. Les événements solennels se sont déroulés partout dans la république. La Place de la Victoire à Minsk a été traditionnellement le centre des festivités. C’est là qu’a eu lieu l’action « Le Bélarus se souvient ». Le Président du Bélarus Alexandre Loukachenko a pris part aux festivités à l’occasion de la Journée de la Victoire. Le chef de l’Etat a déposé des fleurs au pied du monument de la Victoire à Minsk. Alexandre Loukachenko a noté que le Bélarus se souviendra toujours des héros de la guerre.
« Nous nous inclinerons toujours devant l’héroïsme de nos compatriotes qui sont passés par le feu infernal de la guerre. Ils ne se sont pas agenouillés devant les envahisseurs. Jeunes et vieux se sont soulevés contre les agresseurs. Sur la place de la Victoire en plein cœur de la ville-héros Minsk se trouvent des capsules avec la terre des autres villes-héros : Moscou, Léningrad, Smolensk, Toula, Stalingrad, Kiev, Sébastopol, Kertch, Odessa, Mourmansk, Novorossiisk. Dans chacune de ces villes nos compatriotes ont versé leur sang. Ils ont fait preuve du courage pendant des batailles acharnées pour la libération de Varsovie, Budapest, Prague, Bucarest, Vienne et Berlin. Il faut garder comme la prunelle de ses yeux la paix et l’accord dans notre maison paternelle. Nous devons être unis et fermes, comme nos pères, grands-pères et arrière-grands-pères étaient à l’époque de rudes épreuves. Nous avons prouvé à tout le monde que le Bélarus est un pays pacifique et bienveillant. Nous ne voulons pas ce qui ne nous appartient pas, mais nous ne céderons non plus ce qui est le nôtre ».

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English. We hear nothing about Belarus here in the US so I am so glad to learn about your country. Keep on broadcasting in English. I also joined the Hoererklub on Facebook as I can understand German.
